  • This 4hr workshop is intended to facilitate your personal, thoughtful design of a spiritual practice.  

    The role of personal spiritual practice is significant.  For those of us who do not fit neatly into the religious / cultural structures of our childhood, we often are left with uncomfortable choices or a vast lack of clarity. 

    This is just for you. It is intimately personal and private. It is made  of intention, love, and devotion, although you do not need an object for your devotion beyond “mystery” or “the universe” or “nature” or whatever words or concepts feel true for you at this time. For some, “God” is still a usable word; for others, it has become too loaded and can actually take away from your spiritual development.  The important thing is to find the words that feel true for you.

    Your personal spiritual practice should help you remember; it should help you not-forget (which is a huge aspect of living a conscious life), and it should leave you feeling more like the version of you that is plugged in and fully charged.

    When I do my practice, including short or mini versions of my practice,  I feel more like me when I am done. I have reminded myself who I am and what I believe and what I am creating. And then everything else will be more easily loved, tolerated, or engaged with. 

    This workshop will present many possible elements of personal practice, including the “standards” of prayer, meditation, cleansing, and ritual action. But we will also review new, flexible, adaptable practices such as content you create to watch on your phone, audio you record to listen to in your car, as the power of your own voice is unmatched for your own spiritual resonance. 

    Your own words, images, practices, reminders, and selected music will mean more to you and stay with you longer than anything else. Be inspired, use what works, and more than anything, come up with something that makes you remember who you are in a way that is invigorating because you’ll crave doing it. 

    This workshop will include teaching, sharing, journaling, guided meditation, and more sharing. You will leave with a well-defined, modular personal practice that feels doable and highly aligned with your deepest self.

  • This 4-hour workshop reviews Dr. Joe Dispenza’s Blessing of the Energy Centers (numbers 2 & 3), in which symbols are used for chakra alignment.  

    The goal is to heal and align the chakras, and one way to do this is to set a clear intention for each chakra. This particular practice goes one step further, and creates a symbol to represent your specific intention.

    For example, the first chakra is the Root chakra, the seat of safety / survival. If you have unhealed energetic wounds that keep you in survival mode, you’ll want to clear and align that chakra to a sense of safety. Your intention is to relax your root and KNOW that you are safe. You may select a symbol of a heart or a sunrise or the words I AM SAFE, because words are symbols, too.

    This requires some drawing and crafting, so the workshop will include a one-hour teaching, two hours for selecting symbols to align each chakra, and crafting with paper, collage, markers, colors, and more to enhance and clarify your intentions for each chakra. The workshop will end with a one-hour meditation using your chosen symbols.  

    This is a powerful practice that, for me (Barbara), was personally transformative, and I can’t wait to share it with you.  no preparation or familiarity with the Dispenza work is required.

  • This 4-hour workshop  builds on the idea of a personal “list” of experiences that “prove” to you that the unseen world is real. 

    This is for anyone who has had some odd or amazing things happen to them, things that really can’t be explained or are statistically so unlikely as to be nearly impossible. And yet…

    It can be hard to break free from the “material world” mindset,  the intellectual framework that discounts anything not repeatable in empirical science. 

    Even when incredible things happen to us, we slip back into the attitudes and approaches that dismiss the spiritual or energetic world as “new age woo.”

    For me, it was a constant struggle to “remember” what life seemed to be showing me, personally. That there was much more to the world (and to me!) than meets the eye. It was a struggle because I truly loved intellectual ideals; I so valued logic and the way language could be used to seemingly prove or disprove ideas that were much, much larger than language. 

    When I was 21 and something amazing happened to me, not for the first time, I realized that if I didn’t write it down, I would just forget it, again. I forgot everything cool or weird or unexplainable that happened because those things didn’t fit into my chosen, material worldview.  And what doesn’t fit, gets dismissed. Forgotten.

    So I started the list. I made a list of everything I could remember, starting in childhood, that wasn’t explainable, that “woke me up” in some way. That made me take notice.  

    These were clues, EVIDENCE, the things on the list. And any one of them, on its own, might be easily dismissed, easily forgotten. But taken together, seen together, it’s pretty impressive. It makes a point.

    There is more going on in the world, even inside me, than the common worldview can explain.

    During this workshop, we will all share some of our own stories, then we will work on our lists, and discuss ways to remember (and not forget) the conclusions we can draw. 

    You will leave this workshop with your list, and feeling a little more comfortable with the unseen world, with your own interest in “new age” ideas, and a broader grasp and application of quantum science as an aspect of spirituality.
